Good Blogging

Over the past weeks I have been creating blog after blog focusing on sports. I focus on baseball mainly, because of how great the Tigers were doing, Now that they lost the World Series 0-4 it is time to focus on a larger variety of sports. Wyoming High has just finished their football season winning their last game against Belding by a large margin. Now I want to focus more on the NBA and winter sports here at the high school. It was great having the oppurtunity to blog about The Tigers and congradulate them on their success this season. I look foward to changing up topics and will keep the sports news coming.

Bog Snorkeling

The world alternative games held in Whales have many weird "sports" that contestants can compete in. One of the most eye catching ones happened to be Bog Snorkeling.
Bog Snorkeling is a game in which the contestant must make it down a 60yd trench wearing goggles, a snorkel, and flippers. They must snorkel down the the trench doing conventional swimming strokes. "Flipper power is the key."
These sports have descended from many different countries and this has created huge attention from the media. Anyone can compete in this as long as they have goggles, flippers, a snorkel, and are registered to compete.
The current bog snorkeling record is 1.35.18 by Joanne Pitchforth from Heckmondwike.
The cash prizes from this event are;  World champion - £50.00, Junior champion - £25.00, Local champion - £25.00, Fancy dress - £25.00

Tiger's 2 Game Hole

The Tigers have a lot of ground to gain coming back to Detroit this weekend. They have games Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. It's not an easy thing to come back from two games down, but there's nothing else you can do. "The thing is, we have no choice," Fielder said. "We're 0-2. You can't wish it to be gone." Coming back home, The Tigers have the second best home record during the season. Detroit is going to be a very busy place this weekend with both The Tigers and The Lions playing on Sunday. All hotel rooms are booked this weekend because of it. The game starts tomorrow at 8:00 pm.

Monday Night Football

Tonight on Monday Night Football, The Detroit Lions face The Chicago Bears at Solider field. The problem with the Lions this year is they are far from perfect, and quarterback Matthew Staford is way too inconsistent. The Lions are 2-3 compared to The Bears record of 4-1. The Bears only loss this year came from The Green Bay Packers in week 2. This will not be the only time these two teams see each other, they play again December 30 in Detroit. The game starts tonight at 8:30pm.

ALCS Champion Tigers

As a lot of you may have heard, our Detroit Tigers topped the Yankees last night with a blow out win of 8-1, after a rain delay postponed the game for a day. The Tigers swept the series 4-0, surprising people across the country. Delmon Young was named the ALCS MVP after bringing in 6 runs, with two homers, scored as many runs as the Yankees scored in the whole series. Right now tickets for the world series are going anywhere from $336.00 all the way up to $2395.00. For a descent seat in the outfield, you are looking at a good $400.00. These costs may seem unreal for some people, but to others their is no price to see their favorite baseball team play in the World Series.

Wolves Soccer

As the Wyoming Wolves soccer season has come to an end, the players are very proud of what they have accomplished. With an overall record of 17-1-2 and 12-0 in conference they have set the bar high for future  players.
Interviewing one of the players, Efrain Cano Jr. believes that, "We indeed came together as a team well, and there is not one thing that he would want to change about this season."
On the team it was evident that there was no favoritism, and they learned how to play well with one another. Although it was tough for the two teams to come together, they soon came to love their team, and even think it was better than being separate.
